1. 2013 LEADERSHIP RETREAT (evening plus full day) FOR THE

CONGREGATIONAL COUNCIL OF HOLY COMMUNION LUTHERAN, SPARTANBURG, SC

"Thank you for spending your valuable time with us for the retreat.  It was most rewarding and was also lots of fun.  I like the way you and Pastor play off each other.  Everyone was most complimentary of your presentation as we discussed it at Council this week.   We've had lots of fun calling each other by their number instead of their name." - Ann D., Holy Communion Lutheran, Spartanburg,SC

"Thank you for a very enlightened council retreat! I enjoyed it very much.  I was very surprised how well each number described each member of council. I had never heard of the enneagram before our retreat. I think it is a good tool in helping me to understand other personalities. It is helpful for our team in working together especially when we understand each other. We had a good council meeting this week and I think our discussions were more open than usual. Thanks again and peace and blessings to you." -  Sara L., Holy Communion Lutheran, Spartanburg, SC

"Jeff, I'd like to point out some observations/reflections about the seminar. To begin, please know that I was/am impressed with the knowledge/expertise that you have gained about this tool as well as the associations made about relationship between different personality styles. Having been profiled before by various personality tests, I found this one to provide a surprisingly accurate portrayal."  - Blaine C., Holy Communion Lutheran, Spartanburg, SC

"Jeff, thank you for your time and presentation of the enneagaram.  It was very insightful.  As you can imagine, being a six, I've spent time thinking about it and questioning.  It does seem to pinpoint me.  Hopefully, I'll be better able to understand where others are coming from in their thought process. I know I will continue to think about my personality and the aspects of it, and how to control some areas.   As stated, the time spent was beneficial.  Hopefully you will continue to present this to other groups." - Shonda M., Holy Communion Lutheran, Spartanburg, SC

"Thank you for taking your valuable time to speak to us and I really enjoyed the session.  Yes, it was a long day, BUT the information was all necessary and should it have been cut short, we might have missed a vital piece of the puzzle.  We as a council needed exactly what you offered and that was a chance to "understand" each other, as at times we can be at odds simply due to the lack of knowledge of each personality." - Hoyt D., Holy Communion Lutheran, Spartanburg, SC

Is there anything else you’d like to share about the impact the council retreat utilizing the enneagram has had on you, your leadership team or Holy Communion post-retreat?

R1    Helped understand conflicts between members and futility of resolving some of it. Also improved my own standing once talent was known to be accessible.

R2           It has helped me in understanding and communicating with different types. I was very surprised in how well it works! Thanks for the retreat!

R3           This is my first year on the council, but from what I understand the past years were tense. This year I think the enneagram has helped us understand personalities and we have worked better as a team. Thank you!

R4           It has given me a better understanding of .personalities and with that a better understanding of individuals and why they may act or say what they do. Also with that understanding, we are better able to work together knowing who is more able to handle different issues, or events.

R5           As I stated above, it has assisted me in understanding how other members approach a situation. It also has assisted me with my everyday living and how I approach different situations.

R6           GREAT stuff, too much for the allotted time.

R7           It has been extremely helpful for me to understand that there are indeed different types of personalities and how important that is to being able to accept people as they are and learn to work together despite our differences.

2. 2013 STAFF RETREAT FOR CAMP GRAVETT, AN EPISCOPAL CAMP IN AIKEN, SC Retreat where leaders had other things they wanted to do in addition to enneagram.  Enneagram was a small piece of their retreat.  Time allowed only general overview. (SEE NOTE ABOUT RETREATS UNDER TAB FOR 2016)
